Math & computer science tutoring

Personalized math and computer science tutoring, from foundational courses to advanced undergraduate and graduate-level topics.

Support for university coursework, independent learning, and projects built around your goals.

My particular specialty is working with neurodiverse students, non-traditional students, and students who struggle in a traditional classroom setting.

A short project demo showing the kind of algorithmic thinking and code reasoning I help students build.

Looking for help beyond introductory courses? I tutor advanced undergraduate and graduate-level math and computer science, including 4000- and 5000-level coursework.

Hey! I’m Jack!

Jack Tschetter celebrating his University of Minnesota graduation

I’m Jack Tschetter, a University of Minnesota graduate with bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.

During my undergrad I was a teaching assistant for Designing and Developing Secure Software (CSCI 4271W).

I also taught precalculus fundamentals in the math department.

In addition to teaching I was awarded multiple NSF grants by professor Zhi-li Zhang for undergraduate research. I contributed to research projects involving 5G core, network function virtualization, applied AI/ML, Autonomous Driving, and Starlink.

Upon graduation I worked as a full stack engineer at Registration Technology where I worked on AWS infra, AI/ML and security ops.

Most recently I am the founder of JRT Technologies a consumer iOS developer. The company’s flagship product is Shiora, an AI-powered beverage discovery app. To learn more about Shiora visit our website.

Explore my Writing

I believe that learning starts with listening. I recognize the no 2 students learn the same and as such I make a point of getting to know all my students and meeting everyone where they are at.

My specialty is in working with autistic students, neurodiverse students, first gen students, immigrant students, and generally anyone who struggles in a traditional classroom setting.
